Module 8

RSS feeds, an interesting concept to make our lives easier by saving time whilst searching the web.It allows us to track what going on around us without having to leave our own page.  I have never heard of this before, any time I have signed up or subscribed to a website, I would receive emails about the website.
RSS seems easy to use.  I signed up really quickly and then I used the search engine to find topics that would interest me.  Last term, Year Five studied Weather, so I added some weather sites.  On the YouTube clips, it showed us how to search by URL as well.  I think with a little more playing around with this site, I will begin to see some benefits and how I could use this in the classroom.

  1. I like how you've added icons or badges for RSS, Delicious (for example). How do you to that? I'm going through the Web 2.0 challenges as a part of my Library & Information Studies courses at the University at Buffalo.
